History: A Look at CBC

Calvary Baptist Church has been involved in the community of Stephenville for over 70 years. In 1947, CBC became a self-supporting church on Race Street to reach its community with the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Calvary moved to its present location in 1993 so that it could accomplish its mission.

The city of Stephenville and Tarleton State University have grown over the last 70 years, but CBC’s heart beat is still the same. It is still a warm and loving church that desires to impact its community with the Gospel.

We invite you to come and be our guest! You will find a warm atmosphere with people who love to get to know you!

We are a small community church that brings people to KNOW and GROW in Jesus Christ so that they can GO and SHOW Him to others!
